Try this:

Power up the printer but unplug it's USB cable from PC.

Right click Start button to open Control Panel.In Control Panel>Programs and Features, Uninstall all the printer software. Restart.

Next copy and paste in Start search box: printui /s /t2

Right click to Run as Admin the Print Server properties, Remove the printer’s drivers for this printer and for any otherprinters you don't use presently.

Now in Start Menu open Devices and Printers, right click the printer to delete the Printer and any scanner or fax of the same name. Restart PC.

Go to the printer model’s Support Downloads webpage to download and install the basic driver. If a wireless printer you will need the full software package to get it set up fully. If you want to be able to scan from the printer top to the PC then you'll also need the full package.

Extract Printer software, right click Setup file to Run as Administrator.Follow the setup screens closely as you install the software. It should prompt when to plug in the printer.

Note that the Printer will be hidden on the View tab in Device Manager. The important place to manage it is in Control Panel>View by:Icons>Devices and Printers. It may also have interference from Settings>Devices sometimes, so it's good to check there for anything queued on the printer or to remove it more fully first.

After you upgrade your computer to Windows 10, if your Microsoft USB Drivers are not working, you can fix the problem by updating the drivers. It is possible that your USB driver is not compatible with the newer version of Windows.

1. Download the Driver Update Utility for Microsoft.

3. Click the Update Driver button next to your driver. The correct version will be downloaded and installed automatically. Or, you can click the Update Drivers button at the bottom to automatically download and install the correct version of all the drivers that are missing or out-of-date on your system.
