Important Information for users of the silent install option:
When you use the silent install option on Linux platforms and specify that the MVFS should be rebuilt, a value for the key 'user.CC_MVFSModuleKernelPath' is required in the response file. Please see the sample response file in technote 1351501.
You must install this update using the Updates Packages wizard in IBM Installation Manager. HP and AIX systems can be upgraded directly to this release only from ClearCase 8.0.1.x installations. To upgrade from any earlier releases on these systems, ClearCase must be uninstalled first and then ClearCase 9.0.1.x can be installed. This is due to a limitation of Installation Manager. The following known issues exist in this release:
1. HP and AIX systems can not be upgraded from previous versions of ClearCase. ClearCase must be uninstalled on these systems first and then ClearCase 8.0.1 can be installed. This is due to a limitation of Installation Manager.
2. You cannot install IBM Rational License Key Server and Rational License Key Administrator, version 8.1.3 and earlier, with 64-bit version of IBM Installation Manager. Review technote 1627779: Rational License Key Server and Rational License Key Administrator installation with 64-bit Installation Manager for more details.
In this release, the ClearCase feature level has been changed to level 8. The ClearCase VOB schema version has not changed. Review technote 1119269: About Feature Levels and ClearCase for more details.
